We are drawing close to the end of 2022 and I am celebrating another year of working with the brands that support me. To show my appreciation to them, every week for 7 weeks I will be telling my followers a bit more about each brand, what they do and why I believe in their products This week, I present to you… Micro Parrish Holistic And Deep Tissue Massage & Equine Sports Massage Micro Parrish set up her own business 9 years ago providing deep tissue sports massage for both equine and human. Micro trained with the best such as Mary Bromiley. Combined with her fantastic instincts with horses and being a natural born horsewoman, it her stands her at one of the best in her profession. What role does Micro play in my team I have actually known Micro most of my life, however she started working with my horses about 6 years ago when I called her out to have a look at now 4* horse Prime Time. When I first got the ride on Prime Time, he resembled a bit of a stiff board and hated any sort of therapist touching him… the first time Micro treated him, he kicked her to the other side of the box. Even then, she wasn’t going to give up on him and that perfectly sums up her relationship with a very difficult Prime Time. Between Micro working on him, and myself riding him in a certain way, we have brought out the best in a horse that had been near given up on. Micro built up such a strong connection with him and he’s gone from hating treatment to now barging and kicking the door if she doesn’t come and treat him first when she gets to the yard. It’s quite extraordinary. I trust Micro with any horse that walks in my yard, if she can build the trust she has with Prime Time, then she can handle anything! I truly believe she has been imperative to his success and he wouldn’t be where he is without her. Not only has Micro been fantastic at her job, she has been an incredible support to lean on when I need her. She is always at the end of the phone and if she can she’ll be there in person to take a look and advise, she will. Micro works fantastically alongside vets, farriers and chiropractors to bring out the best in the horses and do her job to the best of her abilities. Micro has diagnosed and fixed issues that have amazed myself and others. She has a great knowledge of the confirmation of a horse and is such a help when it comes to buying horses. Micro has made the effort to attend big international events with me in order to keep Prime Time happy and feeling good. Her commitment to him is unwavering… as well as walking a courses with me and settling some nerves!! Micro also works her magic on me too. As most people know by now, I’m a little bit injury prone! Micro has been a great help in rehabilitating injuries and relieving any pain I have suffered since. She is very consistent in the way she practices but is also happy to adapt to a slightly different way if she needs to work on something specific. I very much look forward to my treatments with Micro! All in all, I could go on forever about the various wonderful things Micro does for us here at EM Equestrian but for now all I’m going to say is that we would be lost without her, and we are exceptionally lucky to have her as part of our team. She has been by my side through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, yet her loyalty and upbeat character never changes. Micro may be a professional who is incredible at her job, but she’s also one of our best friends.
